ZETA TAU ALPHA
Founded on October 15, 1898, Zeta Tau Alpha is a part of the "Farmville Four" from the State Female Normal School. The others include Alpha Sigma Alpha, Kappa Delta and Sigma Sigma Sigma. Zeta also expanded to Canada making it an international sorority.
Nine sisters founded Zeta at the State Female Normal School (now Longwood University). These founders came together to choose the motto, colors and flower to represent Zeta.
Zeta Tau Alpha has many partnerships, some of which include American Cancer Society, the National Football League, and Bright Pink. "Think Pink" is a phrase Zeta had copyrighted which is their theme for awareness projects and breast cancer education.
