KAPPA DELTA

Founded back on October 23, 1897, Kappa Delta became one of the "Farmville Four" sororities at the State Female Normal School (now Longwood University) in Farmville, Virginia).

Four females of this university came together and formed Kappa Delta 120 years ago. One founder, Julia Gardiner Tyler Wilson illustrated the school's yearbook, and even designed the Kappa Delta badge! Wilson was also buried at the University of Virginia cemetery. Often she would host Founders Day festivities at her own home.

Kappa Delta is affiliated with Girl Scouts of the USE and Prevent Child Abuse America. Annually the chapters hose events, activities and educational programs for the Girl Scouts. Also, well over $23 million has been raised and donated to date for the Prevent Child Abuse America.

Make sure to plan ahead and get your JennaBenna Kappa Delta Founder’s Day sorority shirt before October 23 so that you can join in the celebration of the sorority's fall founding.
