Founded on April 6, 1987, Kappa Delta Chi was created by four young women from Texas Tech with a vision to create something that would leave a special legacy for those who followed. Cynthia Garza-Fleitman, Nellie Flores-Ledesma, Irene Montoya and Melissa Montoya became the vision of Kappa Delta Chi and created the organization with a foundation of service, Christianity and friendship.
The common premise of Kappa Delta Chi is scholastic, philanthropy and ethical standards and these standards emanate through sisterly friendship and servitude to each other and those around.
